释义	臝属古语指人类。《考工记》：“梓人为筍虡。……厚唇弇口，出目短耳，大胸燿后，大体短脰，若是者谓之臝属。”“臝属”之形态特征本为制作钟虡的动物造型。“臝属”究为何物？历来解释不一。一说指兽类。贾公彦疏：“凡猛兽之有力者，皆前粗后细，故云：‘大胸燿后。’”此说牵强。一说是指人类。“臝”同“倮”。《大戴礼记·曾子天圆》：“倮虫之精者曰圣人。”又《易本命》：“倮虫三百六十，圣人为之长。”臝为人说，已为1978年湖北随县曾侯乙墓出土的钟虡铜人证实。
