释义	尚铭明人。宦官。成化时，以汪直引荐掌东厂，与直争宠，奏其不法事。十七年（1481）罢西厂，东厂遂独掌侦伺事。性贪，闻京师有富室，则加以罪名，得重贿方止。后谪充南京净军。籍其家，得资数万。
