To dedicate or devote oneself or something to some cause or goal. I'm impressed that the CEO gave of his millions so freely. No wonder she's exhausted—she really gives of herself every time she takes the stage.
give of oneself
to be generous with one's time and concern. Tom is very good with children because he gives of himself. If you want to have more friends, you have to learn to give of yourself.
