。印度佛教僧人。寂护弟子。属大乘佛教自续中观派。八世纪末，受赞普墀松德赞延请入吐蕃传播佛教。唐贞元八年（792）至十三年，在墀松德赞主持下在桑耶寺与摩诃衍辩论，史称“渐门”与“顿门”之争。主张积善修福，循序渐进，反对断除善恶思维的顿悟观点。先败而后胜，使印度佛教在吐蕃占优势地位。著有《修道次第论》等。- 波州
