释义	纪元元是开始，纪元是按年记事的开始。中国古代以帝王即位之年为元年。也有即位若干年后又改元的，如汉文帝已即位十六年，又改明年为元年。汉武帝即位后，创立年号，每个年号的第一年为元年。有些皇帝一生只用一个年号，有些改用若干年号，也有一年之内改年号数次的。
