street sweeper
A semi-automatic 12-gauge shotgun with a revolving ammo drum. Originally designed for riot control, i.e., "sweeping the streets." The cops were armed with street sweepers to face the oncoming protestors. These street sweepers can be devastating, but they're an absolute nightmare to reload in the middle of combat.
street sweeper
n. a machine gun. In my neighborhood, the sound of street sweepers is about as common as the sound of horns honking.
