take (out) on the street(s)
1. To begin riding or driving some vehicle on the streets. We're finally ready to take the prototype on the streets to see how it handles. I got a new bike for Christmas, and I can't wait to take it out on the street!
2. To bring some action, activity, or event onto the streets outside. The venue tried to shut our concert down at 10 PM, so we just took it out on the street and kept on partying! You two had better take your fight out on the streets, or I'm calling the cops!
