常识	姑臧县
释义	姑臧县西汉以匈奴休屠王地置。因姑臧山为名。一说本匈奴“盖臧城”，音讹为“姑臧”。相传其地龙形，故又名“卧龙城”。治今甘肃武威市。地处河西走廊冲要，两汉为武威郡治，三国魏后又为凉州治，十六国前凉、后凉、南凉、北凉皆曾建都于此，唐为凉州及河西节度使治。广德二年（764）地入吐蕃，遂废。
