rotorhead

1. The piece of equipment that connects the blades of a helicopter to the rest of the rotor assembly. Sometimes spelled as two words. A malfunction in the rotorhead caused the helicopter to lose control mid-flight. I feel more in control of my movements when I fly a motorcycle that has a rigid rotor head.
2. Someone who can fly and/or who is very knowledgeable about helicopters. Sometimes spelled as two words. I originally wanted to fly fighter jets for the US Airforce, but I ended up as a rotor head after becoming enamored with the way they move in the air. A friend of mine works as a rotor head for a company that gives helicopter tours
3. Someone who is passionate about automobiles with rotary engines. Sometimes spelled as two words. My brother became a total rotorhead after getting his Mazda RX7 after college.
