释义	黄州①南朝梁大同元年（535）置。治安平县（今防城港市西南），辖境相当今广西防城港市地。隋开皇十八年（598）改为玉州，大业初废。②隋开皇五年（585）改衡州置。治南安县（后改黄冈县，今湖北新洲县，唐中和中移今黄冈市）。大业初改永安郡。唐初仍为黄州。辖境相当今湖北长江以北，滠水流域以东，巴河以西地区。属淮南道。北宋属淮南西路。元至元十四年（1277）升为路。
