释义	叶春秋楚邑。即今河南叶县西南旧县。《春秋》成公十五年（前576）：“许迁于叶”；又《左传》昭公十八年（前524）：“叶在楚国，方城外之蔽也”，皆即此。战国秦昭襄王十五年（前292）取叶，自后亦称叶阳。秦置叶县。
