OTT

1. An abbreviation for "over the top," referring to entertainment (such as TV shows and movies) that is obtained from sources other than a traditional cable subscription, such as streaming services and a la carte programming. The cable bill had gotten so expensive that I just decided to go OTT instead.
2. slang An abbreviation for "over the top," meaning excessive or overly dramatic. If you wear a full face of makeup to the bowling alley, people will think you're kind of OTT. A massive birthday party with princesses and pony rides is a little OTT for a one-year-old, don't you think?
