昭平湖风景名胜区，原名昭平台水库，源于汉光帝刘秀与王莽昆阳之战时，刘秀在此拜始祖刘累后筑台招兵而得之。昭平湖风景名胜区位于河南省鲁山县境内，景区面积40km2。气候温和、四季分明，年均气温14.4℃。昭平湖风景名胜区丘陵起伏，沟壑纵横，水天一色，一望无际。
