洛阳市区去老城区的路中央立有一座九龙石柱,名曰:九龙鼎。鼎是王者权力的象征。九条龙盘旋的大石柱的顶端，端放着一座按1：1比例仿制的中国青铜时代的象征——西周兽面纹方鼎。汉白玉护栏两侧分别镶嵌着两幅《太极河图》。
