1. verb To lift someone or something up. In this usage, "heist" is often followed by "up," in which case a noun or pronoun can be used between "heist" and "up." Heist up the flag, will you? I heisted the baby up off the floor when she started to cry.
2. verb To rob someone or something. This place is totally ransacked, and the TV is missing—I think someone heisted us!
3. noun A robbery. Oh boy, what is this elaborate heist you're planning? You know, the cops are going to catch you one of these days.
