Ideal gas is an imaginary gas that obeys the ideal gas law. Ideal gas does not exist in reality, but a real gas with a high temperature and a low density can approach ideal.

【理】理想气体。指完全符合理想气体定律的假想气体。理想气体在现实世界中并不存在，但当气体在温度高和密度低的情况下，往往近似理想气体。理想气体的条件为(1)分子为一质点，分子仅具有质量但自身体积为零(气体分子所能自由运动的全部空间，故理想气体的体积等于容器的体积)。(2)气体分子间无任何作用力存在，温度及压力不影响气体分子间的关系。
