Eternal, when strictly used, describes that which, in its nature, is above time, having neither beginning nor end.

Eternal 一字，严格言之指超越时间之物，既无始又无终者。

Everlasting, while often interchangeable with eternal, refers always to time and rather to the future than to the past; it emphasizes the lack of interruption as well as of end.

Everlasting 虽常与 eternal 通用，然系专指未来之时期；着重不间断及无尽期之意。

Endless is sometimes used like everlasting, but it commonly describes more humble things.

Immortal emphasizes the idea of life that shall not cease, and often describes that which has its life only in men's memories.
