first love
1. The first person one falls in love with. Brian was my first love. I can't possibly talk to him at the reunion!
2. The first or main thing one is passionate about. Painting was my first love, but I've really taken to photography in my later years. As much as I enjoy teaching, writing is my first love, so I always make time for it on the weekends.
