To reduce something's price. A noun or pronoun can be used between "price" and "down." The new laptops look really tempting, but I know the shops will price them down when we get closer to Christmas, so I'm holding off buying one for the time being. We're pricing down everything in-store for the next seven days, so come on by for the best deals in town!

to lower the price of something. When they start pricing this stuff down at the end of the season, I'll come in and buy something. I hope to price down the merchandise soon.
