soaked
1. slang Very drunk. This is the fourth night in a row you've come home soaked. I think you have a drinking problem! I enjoy having a beer or two with my friends, but I've never liked getting totally soaked.
2. slang Charged an excessive or inordinate amount of money (for something). I remember when there was a dairy shortage a number of years ago, and we all got soaked for the simplest things, like a gallon of milk or a block of cheddar cheese. My dad is a shrewd haggler, so I always bring him with me when I'm making a large purchase so I know I'm not getting soaked.
